With so much to arrange for your wedding day, you may not have
time to spend deciding which tunes you would like played or when.
The following is intended as a quick, easy-to-follow guide to
help with this. All of the following opportunities for piping are
included in the standard piping package and any additional special
requests can usually be catered for.
When should the piper play?
It is traditional for the piper to welcome the guests, bridal party
and bride to the church/hotel for the wedding ceremony. The
bride could be piped down and back up the isle, perhaps to tunes of
her choice. The piper would play as the newly weds
emerge from the church/hotel to where they mingle with guests
for photographs. The guests, bridal party and newly weds would be
piped in as they arrive at the reception venue. Finally, the newly
weds (and/or the bridal party) would be piped
in for the cutting of the cake and then to the top table.
Which tunes?
If you are familiar with pipe/wedding
tunes and know what you would like us to play, then please just ask.Alternatively,
you could select some tunes from the website
and let the piper take care of the rest.If you are uncertain then
leave it to our pipers, all of whom know the traditional tunes and
have years of experience of playing at weddings.Contact
